Nathan in all Roane's work gear, wanting to be just like his Daddy.
I have been thinking and missing Daddy a lot lately. I am not sure if it is because Father's Day is coming up or because the weekend after there will be a huge equipment auction at the farm. I think both are just reminders that he is really, really gone, and I really, REALLY miss him. It seems like reminders of him are everywhere. I have dreamed about him, met - I think - every entomologist in a 3 county area, and met random people who knew him. I feel caught off guard by the sadness I am feeling. I am sure this is just a new phase of grief, but it is so hard.
I am trying to tell Nathan as much as I can about him. Things he used to do with me when I was little, like teaching me how to "zerbert". Nathan thinks it is HILARIOUS!!!
I am also trying to focus on the joy that he has now. He is spending his first Father's Day with his Heavenly Father.
I am even more thankful for my siblings, lately. I don't think I could make it through this without them. What a gift to have three other people in the world that know exactly how I feel just by exchanging a look.
